Albion are keeping a closer eye than ever on set-pieces.

Analyst Nick Stanley has been concentrating on their work.

He has been a more visible presence of late in the technical area at matches.

Head coach Graham Potter said: “Nick has been an analyst at the club for a long time.

“He has taken a step towards specialising in set plays.

“He has taken a step away from the analyst role towards more coaching.

“He is part of the staff here, part of our support group.

“He’s a young guy who is ambitious, who is very intelligent, very hard-working and is an important member of the team.”

Albion have scored from well-worked corner routines in recent games against Everton and Chelsea.

Potter said: “Every area you are looking to improve but we have never had anybody as a specialist, if you like, looking at it.

“Nick showed a real ambition to do that and I think he has got the quality as well.

“He’s young so it’s not about throwing him under the bus or anything.

“It’s about helping him develop.

“About helping him understand the role, understand how he can help the team.
