Graham Potter has taken responsibility for Albion’s 3-0 defeat by Burnley.
The Seagulls’ head coach said he was sorry to supporters after his side were second best to the Clarets.
Potter told The Argus: “When it’s like that I have to look at it.
“The team wasn’t set up on the right way, the balance wasn’t quite there.
“We didn’t quite have the right shape. All those things I will take responsibility for and try to learn from it.
“There are some young players on the pitch and we are all trying to get better.

“A disappointing afternoon and I can only say sorry to the supporters who were there because it wasn’t a good performance from us.
“It wasn’t from a lack of trying from the boys.
“It wasn’t our day and I haven’t been able to say that too often.”
