ABDALLAH Sima made his return to the matchday squad for Stoke City in their victory against Millwall on Saturday.

The Senegalese attacker has struggled to make an impact in English football since his summer transfer from SK Slavia Prague to Albion.

Sima has suffered from multiple injuries that have limited his time on the pitch for the Potters, who he joined on loan in order to gain valuable experience.

But things are now looking up for the 20-year-old as he was fit enough to make the bench for Michael O’Neill's side for the fixture at the Bet365 Stadium.

While Sima did not make it onto the pitch there is still a lot of hope he can have an impact before the end of the season.

Before the match against Millwall, O'Neill admitted that the forward has been improving in the youth teams.

He said: “He still looked like he was getting up to speed with the under-23s.

“I’ve been privileged to watch the last two under-23 games and he’s had some good moments but he’s still building up his minutes.

“He is an option for us though and he comes into consideration.”
