AN ALBION star is reportedly on the radar of a fellow Premier League side.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte is keen on bolstering his defensive options with he summer signing of Marc Cucurella, according to Fichajes.

The Brighton and Hove Albion left back joined the club in August last year on a five-year contract.

Cucurella, 23, is among a number of Premier League players Spurs are reportedly interested in signing – including Southampton and England midfielder James Ward-Prowse.

Tottenham have also been linked with Inter Milan defenders Stefan de Vrij and Alessandro Bastoni in recent weeks.

Cucurella has made 32 appearances for Albion since making a £16 million move from Getafe last summer.

Albion head coach Graham Potter said the Spanish international is “desperate” to have a big impact in the Premier League.

The former Barcelona defender is widely fancied to be crowned Albion’s player of the season at the end of his first campaign in England.

Potter said: “He has been really important for us since he has come. He is a really infectious personality so the lads all love him.

“He’s a great character and a bubbly personality around the club. On the pitch he brings energy and quality.

“He has grown up at Barcelona, so he knows how to play football. Now he is desperate to have an impact in the Premier League and we have been so happy with him.”
