Graham Potter laughed off speculation about Tottenham interest after enjoying one of his finest occasions as Albion boss.

The head coach was cheered as his side demolished Manchester United 4-0 at the Amex.

He was then reminded by a reporter of speculation that Tottenham are keen on him should Antonio Conte leave.

In what appeared to be a somewhat light-hearted exchange, Potter said: “You guys sometimes put stuff in newspapers that isn’t true - occasionally!

“What can I say? There isn’t even a vacancy at Tottenham and you’re being linked with it.

“I’ve never said I wanted to leave at all.

“It wasn’t so long back I was probably getting criticism.

“Things change pretty quickly, let’s not forget that.

“But I’ve always had the support of Tony (Bloom) and the board.

“I’m happy and grateful for that and I enjoy it here.”

He added: “If you don’t win you expect criticism but all the supporters I meet are so supportive, behind what we are doing, so appreciative.

“They enjoy the football and get what we’re trying to do.”
