MANCHESTER CITY are reportedly 'closely monitoring' Albion's player of the season Marc Cucurella.

The 23-year-old joined the club last summer and has become one of the first names on manager Graham Potter's side.

Cucurella scored his first goal for the club earlier this month as he contributed to the 4-0 thrashing of Manchester United at the Amex Stadium.

The Telegraph have reported that a fee of £30 million has been mooted, which would be a big profit for Albion, who signed Cucurella for £15.4 million from La Liga side Getafe.

City manager Pep Guardiola is believed to be looking for a player that can play as the left-back more naturally than Joao Cancelo and Oleksandr Zinchencko, both of which are not natural in that position.

Albion will certainly not want to lose their star player, especially after a single season. Potter will be hopeful that Cucurella will stay at the club for a long time to come.

Cucurella may not be in a rush to leave the club either as it is quite evident that he is enjoying his time at the Amex Stadium.
