Marc Cucurella says Albion is the right place for him to learn his Premier League trade.

The defender has been a huge hit in his debut season with the Seagulls.

He is sure to have attracted interest from top clubs and a recent report suggested Manchester City are keen on his services.

While Graham Potter sees selling star players as part of Albion’s progress, it has to be at the right time and price.

And Cucurella suggested he is happy to keep learning with his current head coach.

The subject was addressed in an interview released via Albion’s official app and YouTube platform.

His happiness in his current surroundings is one of the lead headlines on the club website this morning.

In the interview, Cucurella smiled at mention of the reported City interest.

He said: “This is good. When people speak about you it is because you have good work and your season is good.

“But I focus on the last game and enioy the summer, relax.

“Now I am very happy here. It is my first season.

“I think I have a lot of things to learn. I’m young.

“With this gaffer and team-mates I think it’s good for me to learn.”
