HAMMERS manager David Moyes admitted that the club could has a mental block against Albion.

The Seagulls came back to win after Michail Antonio's stunning opener late in the first half.

Goals from Joel Veltman, Pascal Gross and Danny Welbeck meant that Albion maintained their unbeaten record against the Hammers in the Premier League.

The Hammers needed to win the match in order to qualify for the Europa League, but due to the loss, they have had to settle for a spot in the Europa Conference League, although they will have to play a qualifier.

When asked if West Ham have some form of mental block against Albion, Moyes told The Argus: "Probably yeah".

The last time Albion were beaten by the Hammers was a decade ago in the Championship, which came in the shape of a 6-0 thrashing at Upton Park.

Since then Albion have beaten the London side four times and drawn six.
