Alexis Mac Allister has sent Albion new boy Julio Enciso a welcoming message.
The 18-year-old Paraguay international has signed for the Seagulls for four years.
He will not meet any of his new colleagues until they report back the week after next.
The wait will be longer to get to know internationals such as his fellow South Americans Mac Allister and Moises Caicedo.
But he revealed Mac Allister had been in touch.
Enciso said: “I still haven’t had the chance to meet my team-mates but Alexis wrote me a message.
“He’s a good person and he offered me his friendship.
“I’m very happy to have a South American to talk to.
“I want to adapt as quickly as possible because they are very good people.
“With dedication and work I think I will learn a lot here.”
GRAHAM POTTER'S HOPES AND PLANS FOR JULIO ENCISO
Enciso is not yet sure where he might fit into Graham Potter's side when the chance comes.
He added: “I’ve seen a few games. It’s up to the coach where he wants to play me.
"It would be a dream come true to make my debut.”
