Manchester City will be told Albion have no plans to sell Marc Cucurella if they make their anticipated move for the left-back.

Seagulls fans continue to wait for any news of a bid for the man who scooped a player of the year double last season.

Cucurella continues to be linked with interest from the Premier League champions although there is no suggestion a bid has yet been made.

A well-placed source has confirmed to The Argus that Albion “have no plans or need to sell” the former Getafe left-back.

Cucurella was happy to allow negotiations over that move to the Amex to run until very late in last summer’s window.

He also made it very clear to Getafe that he wanted to move on.

His future could turn into this summer’s transfer saga after business was wrapped up quickly regarding Yves Bissouma’s expected exit.

Ultimately, it is likely the right offer from City could force the issue.

But Albion would test their determination to take him north to the limit.

At worst, they will cite that performance level and long contract as every reason to force a huge price.

Albion’s non-internationals return to work next week.

But internationals such as Alexis Mac Allister, Robert Sanchez, Moises Caicedo, Leandro Trossard and Shane Duffy remain on holiday.

Mac Allister has visited his first club Argentinos Juniors while back in Argentina.
