Crawley have snapped up Swindon Town skipper Dion Conroy on a free transfer.

The 26-year-old from Redhill led the Robins to the League Two play-offs in the final year of his contract.

He was a shock departure from the County Ground this summer and has now signed a deal at Crawley.

Reds have also signed Liverpool youngster James Balagizi on a season-long loan.

The 18-year-old is an attacking midfielder and has played age group football for England under Kevin Betsy, who is now in charge at Crawley.

Reds visit Eastbourne Borough for their first friendly tomorrow (3pm).
