ALBION boss Graham Potter is hopeful that Dan Burn will receive a warm reception from fans when he makes his return to the Amex Stadium with Newcastle.
The defender left the Seagulls in January to join his boyhood club in a reported £12million move.
He quickly settled back into life up north and helped the Magpies avoid relegation and move back up the Premier League table.
Burn has already faced Albion since he left, as he played in Newcastle's 2-1 win over Albion, but this weekend's clash will be his first time back at the Amex since leaving the club.
His former manager Potter believes he is deserving of a warm-welcome from Albion fans due to the hard work he put in during his time at the club.
He told media: "I think and hope Dan will get a good reception.
"Our fans are fair and understand he gave his best.
"During my time he really contributed to what we achieved.
"He's a top person and top professional."
