Eastbourne Borough have signed former Albion youngster Brad Barry.

The 27-year-old nephew of ex-England international Gareth goes straight into the squad to face early-season leaders Ebbsfleet tonight.

After leaving the Seagulls in 2015, Barry made almost 200 appearances in total in a career which took him to Swindon Town, Chesterfield, Barrow and Stevenage.

He trained with Borough in pre-season and played in friendly against AFC Wimbledon.

Borough boss Danny Bloor intends to make good use of his experience and versatility.

Bloor said: "Brad has shown a true commitment and desire to want to play for Eastbourne Borough Football Club, despite interest from other football clubs higher in the pyramid.

“He has bought into the ethos of this unique football club, and I am delighted to get him signed and on board. I am certain that Brad will become a fans' favourite as the season unfolds."

Barry captained Albion's development squad in their first ever PL2 match, versus Blackburn in 2014.
