NOTTINGHAM FOREST are closing in on the signing of Albion striker Neal Maupay with personal terms yet to be agreed, according to reports.

The French striker is Albion's joint record goalscorer in the Premier League after he equalled Glenn Murray's record last season (26).

Despite scoring eight goals last season, the club appear willing to sell him to the new-promoted Nottingham Forest.

Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth has claimed that a fee of around £15million has been discussed between the two clubs, but as of yet there is no agreement on personal terms for Maupay to move to the City Ground, although it is thought to be at an 'advanced stage'.

Forest have already signed 15 players this summer, with stars such as Jesse Lingard, Dean Henderson and Taiwo Awoniyi making moves to the east Midlands.

On the Transfer Talk podcast, Sheth said: "Incredible, isn't it? 15 signings through the door and they're in advanced talks with Brighton over potential number 16 – this, the striker Neal Maupay.

"Fee under discussion thought to be £15m. Personal terms yet to be agreed."

Albion have already sold Yves Bissouma and Marc Cucurella this summer for big money and Maupay seems likely to be the next one out the door as Graham Potter revamps his squad for the new season.
