MORE ON BRIGHTON'S NEW HEAD COACH:

De Zerbi will be joined by a coaching team who were with him at his previous clubs and the plan is for the new team to be in place in time for Albion's game at Liverpool on October 1.

Albion chairman Tony Bloom said: “I am absolutely thrilled Roberto has agreed to become our new head coach.

"Roberto’s teams play an exciting and courageous brand of football and I am confident his style and tactical approach will suit our existing squad superbly.”
