A former Albion full-back has returned from an injury nightmare – after almost ten months out of action.
Martin Montoya helped Real Betis beat Girona 2-1 yesterday.
It was his first competitive match since 15 minutes in a Europa League game at Celtic in early December last year.
Montoya, who played for Albion from 2018 until 2020, got the first 55 minutes yesterday.

He has been suffering from complicated foot and Achilles problems and suffered a setback when he played in pre-season against Marseille.
Montoya, who almost moved to Leon in Mexico this summer, enjoyed perhaps his first Albion performance as a wing-back in Graham Potter’s first match in charge, a 3-0 win at Watford.
