Enock Mwepu is on his way back to England after his latest international trip was cut short.
The Zambia midfielder misses back-to-back friendlies against Mali.
Albion confirmed Mwepu is unwell and will fly back to this country over the weekend.
His target will now be availability for a return to Anfield, scene of his goal-of-the-season winner last season.
Tariq Lamptey made his Ghana debut last night, going on as sub after 72 minutes in a 3-0 friendly defeat by Brazil in Le Havre.
All three goals came in the first half. Neymar, who did not score, played the full 90 for Brazil.
