Derby have parted company with former Albion defender Liam Rosenior.

He recently lost the role of interim head coach, having previously worked as assistant to Wayne Rooney.

Rosenior had guided the Rams to seventh place in League One after a turbulent summer.

He has now left the club after talks yesterday.

A statement from the Rams read: “His tireless efforts helped lay the foundations for the remainder of the current season and beyond. For that, we will always be thankful.

“Throughout, he conducted himself in an exemplary and professional manner and we believe he has a bright future in management.

“We send Liam all our best wishes and he will always be welcome here at Pride Park Stadium as part of the Derby County family.”

Albion fans will best recall Rosenior for his efforts in helping the club emerge as ultimately successful contenders for promotion from the Championship.
