Enock Mwepu has been ruled out of Albion's trip to Liverpool.
But Tariq Lamptey and Adam Lallana could play some part in Roberto De Zerbi’s first game as head coach.
Mwepu spent time in hospital after falling ill while with the Zambia squad in Mali De Zerbi said: “He is unavailable. We are, of course, waiting for him because he is a big loss for him. Everybody else is okay.”
Lallana was out injured ahead of the four-week break in fixtures and Lamptey missed Ghana’s friendly with Nicaragua this week.
De Zerbi said: “Lallana trained today with the squad and the first XI.
“I think he can't start but he feels good.
“Lamptey trained yesterday (Thursday) for the first time.
“He feels good but I think Lamptey will not start in the first XI.”
