Roberto De Zerbi plans to transmit footballing passion to his Albion squad during a busy week on the training pitch.

The head coach has his players together following the thrilling 3-3 draw at Anfield achieved after many had come back from international action.

He will work with them in two groups, so each players gets more time to learn the coach’s methods first hand.

De Zerbi is relishing the days ahead and said: “I try to put intensity into the team during the week.

“And I try to transmit passion.

“Probably from next week onwards in training we will divide the players into two groups, of course mixing the players, in order to give all the players the same attention.

“Because if say we didn’t have (Lewis) Dunk or (Leandro) Trossard for games, the coach has to give the same importance, the same knowledge, so they know exactly what they have to do.

“I meant that the players will do one training session per day, myself and my staff two.”

Trossard missed De Zerbi’s first training session last week as he was away with Belgium.

But he has enjoyed what he has seen so far.

The Anfield hat-trick star said: “When I came back they told me how he was and you can see it straight away how passionate he is.”

Under different bosses, Albion have scored eight goals in their last two games as they prepare to face Tottenham on Saturday and De Zerbi loves an attacking game.

He added: “I don’t know if I’m a good head coach but I know I am a brave one.

“I am not afraid to put on an extra striker.”
