Roberto De Zerbi is being backed by one of the coaching legends of Italian football.
Arrigo Sacchi, boss of the great AC Milan side of the 1980s and 1990s, watched from afar as Albion hammered Chelsea 4-1.
Sacchi revealed he spent his Saturday afternoon watching Leicester versus Manchester City on TV followed by the action from the Amex.
He said of De Zerbi: “I’m happy for him. I recommended him to Sassuolo before they hired him.”
The Albion boss is being followed closely by fans in Italy.
Sacchi gave his verdict speaking ahead of his preview of Milan’s game at Torino, which they lost 2-1, for La Gazzetta Dello Sport.
