Crawley boss Steve Evans believes he has signed a match-winner in the shape of former Sheffield United winger Lewis Killeen.

Killeen became the sixth new face to arrive at the Broadfield Stadium in the space of a week when he completed a move from Halifax Town.

The 25-year-old caught the eye when he scored against Reds for the Shaymen last season and has worked with assistant manager Paul Raynor before at the Blades.

Evans said: "He has great quality on the ball and his delivery from wide areas and set plays is exceptional for this level. He is a player who will help us open the door in those big matches.

"We tried to encourage him to come here last season but he wanted to stay at Halifax because he believed they would challenge for the play-offs."

Reds will hold a training camp in Scotland as part of their pre-season preparations with a friendly against Ross County included in the trip.

Pre-season schedule: Monday July 14 - Crystal Palace (h), Saturday 19 - Ross County (a), Tuesday 22 - Tottenham XI (h); Saturday 26 - Arsenal XI, Tuesday 29 - Croydon Athletic (a), Saturday August 2 - AFC Stamford (a).
