Roberto De Zerbi is considering a Premier League start for his teen centre-forward.
Evan Ferguson opened his top-flight account with a goal in the 4-2 defeat by Arsenal.
De Zerbi sent on the 18-year-old from Dublin as Albion chased the game having been three goals behind.
He offers a different option up front, especially during the absence of injured Danny Welbeck.
Leandro Trossard has been Albion’s most advanced player in their two league games since the World Cup break.
De Zerbi said: “I don’t know if I had to learn about Evan. I knew before the game he is a very good player, he has very good potential.
“We played 11, in that position we played Trossard.
”I think he (Ferguson) gave the answer that he is ready to play in the first XI. In the next games, he can start.”
Deniz Undav missed the game for personal reasons while Moises Caicedo was suspended.
Both will be available for the game at Everton tomorrow evening and there could be a return for Joel Veltman, who was on the bench against the Gunners.
