Albion expect Serbia international Dejana Stefanovic to add midfield strength to their WSL team after she signed an 18-month contract.
The 25-year-old has joined the Seagulls after three seasons at Valerenga in the Norwegian Toppserien, having also previously played at ASPTT Albi and Avaldsnes.
She is the second signing under head coach Jens Scheuer and both appear targeted at his first aim, which is to make the team harder to score against.
Scheuer said: “I know her from playing for the Serbia national team. She has done really well for her country.
“She is a strong midfielder and good at the defensive side, but she can build up the game as well.
“She has also got the physical strength that we need in midfield.”
Stefanovic was a regular with the Serbian national team in their journey to the qualifying group stage of the European Championships last summer.
Her arrival follows that of Norway defender Guro Bergsvand.
Albion resume their WSL programme at Leicester City a week on Sunday.
