Tottenham are reported to be keen on Leandro Trossard – but any potential deal did not appear imminent today.
Spurs are keeping an eye on the Belgium star who scored a superb winning goal at their stadium in April.
Trossard did not get on during Albion’s most recent league game, at Everton.
The Argus have been told within the last hour that “nothing is happening” regarding Trossard and Tottenham interest “at the moment”.
Albion would be happy to keep their squad intact for the rest of the season as they chase a European place.
But it has been reported in Belgium that Trossard is not keen to sign a deal taking him beyond his current commitment, which runs until next year.
The Seagulls have options in wide and attacking areas within their existing squad.
Trossard has been in sparkling form at times this season.
He is their leading league marksman on seven, although Pascal Gross and Alexis Mac Allister have now joined him on that tally when the FA Cup goals are included.
