Albion have no intention of selling Moises Caicedo this month.

The Argus understands there is a lot of interest in the Ecuador midfielder – outstripping that shown in unsettled Leandro Trossard - and that an inquiry was made.

However, he will remain at the Amex until at least the end of the season.

Chelsea were reported to have “tested the water” and it would be no surprise if they were very keen on the 21-year-old.

The Argus have been told an unspecified club did indeed approach Albion quoting a sum way below what would even be considered for Caicedo.

However, it is understood the figure was irrelevant as Albion have absolutely no interest in selling the player in this window.
