March’s second against Liverpool and that which followed by Welbeck are nominated along with Mitoma’s cracker at Leicester.
The shortlist underlines the thrilling football Albion have played of late although it may also split the vote among Seagulls fans.
Ironically, perhaps the best finish by an Albion player in January was Alexis Mac Allister’s clever flick at Middlesbrough.
But that does not count for this award as it came in the FA Cup.
The winner will be chosen by supporters' votes combined with the choices from a panel of experts and will be announced next week.
