Albion fans were all smiles as they watched Roberto De Zerbi’s side thrash West Ham in the quest for European football.

Supporters packed the Amex to watch Brighton put four goals past a deflated Hammers side fighting at the other end of the Premier League table.

Goals from Alexis MacCallister, Kaoru Mitoma, Danny Welbeck and Joel Veltman helped the Seagulls to an impressive win which delighted fans in the home end.

Fans filled the stands with scarfs, foam hands and homemade signs at the ready to cheer on their team to victory.

One fan pictured outside the ground help a sign with Mitoma’s name and number on, backing the Brighton goalscorer.

Mitoma, who helped to win the penalty that lead to Albion’s first goal, also slotted home himself to add to West Ham’s woes.

Spanish and Brazilian flags were also spotted in the stands as Albion celebrated one of their most complete performances this season.

The convincing win puts Albion three points of European football with a game in hand over current fifth placed Newcastle.

Next week’s game sees De Zerbi’s team heading North to Yorkshire to face relegation-threatened Leeds in another clash where fans will expect their team to shine.
