Albion will be told to tread a fine line between confidence and arrogance when they take on Grimsby.
The Seagulls have every right to kick-off the FA Cup quarter-final in confident mood, as they do Premier League games.
But Roberto De Zerbi says that confidence will not be excessive.
The Albion head coach revealed attention turned to Grimsby as soon as Albion had beaten Crystal Palace on Wednesday.
He said: “After the game against Palace I pointed to them and made them aware of not having this arrogance.
“It is difficult to try to find the balance between arrogance and confidence. It is very difficult.
“The point is to find the right level of confidence, but we can't forget that we are Brighton.
“We are not Man City, Man United, Chelsea or Arsenal. We are not a big team.”
Manchester City are already through to today’s semi-final draw, which will take place at the Amex, after Erling Haaland’s hat-trick inside an hour helped them thrash Burnley 6-0 yesterday.
