Brighton Marathon has announced two major sponsors for this year’s event.

Sports shoe and clothing brand Asics is the official apparel and shoe partner, while tech company Enthuse becomes the official online fundraising partner.

It will be the first Brighton Marathon under London Marathon Events (LME) which took over from previous owners Grounded Events when it went into administration.

Brighton Marathon is taking place from next Saturday.

Hugh Brasher, event director of the Brighton Marathon, said: “LME has been working with Enthuse for the past year on our portfolio of events that include the London Marathon and have been impressed with their commitment to delivering an innovative fundraising platform that provides the best possible service to charities, participants and their donors.

“We are very pleased to be extending this partnership, so it includes the Brighton Marathon Weekend for the next three years.

"Both will support our aims of getting people active, supporting our participants wellbeing, and raising vital funds for charity.”

Lucy Greenhalgh, Marketing Manager for Asics UK, said: “We’ve always believed in the positive impact of movement on the body and on the mind. It’s our founding philosophy and it’s never meant more than right now.

“We know how important movement is, so whether people are running the full marathon or the 10K, the Brighton Marathon Weekend is a fantastic opportunity to put the power of sport into action.”
