Tariq Lamptey has recovered from his knee injury.

But Albion might wait to put him back in Premier League action.

The right-back has missed recent club fixtures and an international camp with Ghana but trained this week.

Head coach Roberto De Zerbi said in his Friday press conference that Lamptey was available but his return might not come until the Seagulls go to Bournemouth on Tuesday.

De Zerbi said: “Tariq is available to play.

“I don’t know about tomorrow, but it’s not a big problem. He could play tomorrow or in the next game.”

With Adam Lallana unavailable, most of De Zerbi’s selection looks quite straightforward.

There is a decision to be made at centre-back where Levi Colwill is a strong contender to start.

That would allow Lewis Dunk to play as the right-sided centre-back.

There is also a big decision over Evan Ferguson or Danny Welbeck in attack.

Four of the likely starting XI – Alexis Mac Allister, Pervis Estupinan, Moises Caicedo and Kaoru Mitoma – have been away on long haul trips over the international window.

De Zerbi did not report problems with any of them but accepted it would be tough to come back from such long trips into a key Prem fixture.
