Fans streamed up to Wembley for Albion’s FA Cup semi-final.

Queen's Road in Brighton turned blue and white early yesterday morning as fans looked to get up to London well ahead of the 4.30pm kick off. They were all keen to soak up the atmosphere.

Trains from Brighton were packed towards London as Seagulls fans flooded the capital for the match.

Supporters young and old shared their excitement ahead of the game, and Brighton fans all predicted Albion to advance to the final.

Jim Fifield, 66, travelled from Worthing for the game, adding: "It's excellent, I feel like a kid.

"I was at the last one in 2019 where we were let down and I went to the playoffs against Notts County."

As soon as The Argus arrived at Brighton railway station, fans were already in good spirits, shouting 'Seagulls' chants at the top of their lungs.

Young fans donned blue and white face paint and brought Seagull inflatables and scarves to cheer on their team.

At London Bridge, fans made their way to the tube stations in their droves, cramming into carriage after carriage on their way to Wembley.

For some, trips to Wembley bring back painful memories of the 2019 loss to Manchester City, while for others the trip marked their first trip to the national stadium.

They knew Manchester City were ready to meet them in the final after they beat Sheffield United 3-0 at Wembley on saturday.

Tom Edwards, 42, added: “I’m weirdly confident, I don’t know how we are favourites against Manchester United.

“United can’t play as badly as they did on Thursday against Sevilla, but I’m hoping they do.”

Albion fans packed out Wembley Way and were dressed to impress in shirts, scarves and Seagull heads.

Other fans had dyed thier hair blue for the big day with a sea of Blue and white packing the Brighton end of the stadium.

Albion’s trip to Wembley comes on the back of a stellar season for the Seagulls with Roberto De Zerbi’s side pushing for European football in 2023/24.

Brighton are well in the mix to qualify for the Europa League next. season with a cup run contributing to one of the best seasons in recent years.
