Jurgen Klopp says Albion produced one of the best performances he has ever seen as they thrashed Wolves.

The Liverpool boss added he is worrying about keeping the Seagulls and Aston Villa at bay in the race for European football.

Liverpool scored late to beat Tottenham 4-3 at Anfield.

That restored their four-point lead over Albion, having played two games more.

But the result also means the Seagulls remain only two points behind both Spurs and Aston Villa with three games in hand on both and easily the best goal difference.

Seventh place should be enough for European football.

Albion kept up the pressure by beating Wolves 6-0.

Liverpool boss Klopp played down his side’s top-four chances and told the BBC: “We have to win football games to qualify for Europe at all, it is not given.

“Brighton played one of the best football games this weekend that I have ever seen in my life, I have to say.”

Tipping his cap, he added: “Mr De Zerbi, wow! That was incredible.

“They are behind us with two games in hand or whatever.

“Aston Villa? What a development.

“We have to worry about them. If we can keep them behind us, that would be already a success."
