Simon Hooper will referee Albion’s game at home to Everton.
His VAR will be Darren England.
Hooper’s last three visits to the Amex have all ended in 0-0 draws, most recently when they played Norwich 13 months ago.
He has refereed 27 games this season, all but two of them in the Premier League, and shown 90 yellows with no reds.
In fact, his last sending-off dates back to an FA Cup tie between Swansea and Southampton in January last year.
He has not shown a red card in the Premier League since before lockdown, a run of 47 games.
Albion fans saw him this season in charge of the 5-1 win at Middlesbrough in the FA Cup and he also did the 3-0 success at Wolves a year ago.
England was the referee who red-carded Roberto De Zerbi after the home defeat by Fulham and was on VAR duty recently when they won 2-0 at Bournemouth.
The full team for Albion v Everton is as follows.
Referee: Simon Hooper. Assistants: Adrian Holmes, Mark Scholes. Fourth official: Graham Scott. VAR: Darren England. Assistant VAR: Matthew Wilkes.
