Albion have been told to etch May 8, 2023, in their memories as they prepare for the Premier League run-in.
Roberto De Zerbi says he remains proud of his side after a 5-1 defeat by Everton.
And he expects them to respond to a traumatic early evening over the coming games.
The Seagulls are preparing to face Arsenal at the Emirates on Sunday.
He said of the Everton game on Monday: “I hope we can remember this date for a long time.
“Because today we can improve a lot. We can improve in the football.
“What you did in the past is not important. It doesn’t count.
“We are Brighton. We have become Brighton.
“We won against Liverpool, against Man United, against Arsenal in the Carabao (Cup), against Chelsea.
“Not because there is a top coach, not because there are top players.
“Because we showed pride, we showed courage, energy, passion and I am sure we will show for a long time passion and energy, attitude, mentality.”
