Two exciting Albion teens have been told to take the next step – as Roberto De Zerbi eyes even better things for his team next season.

The Seagulls complete their best-ever season tomorrow as they visit Aston Villa (4.30pm, Sky Sports).

Julio Enciso’s brilliant finish against Manchester City in midweek made absolutely sure of sixth place.

Head coach Roberto De Zerbi said: “Julio is improving but he can play better than this game.

“I think he can play better with the team.

“I would like him to play with more energy, with more aggression.

“But his potential is big, big, big.

“He can become a great player, not a big player.”

Asked whether Enciso is a diamond who needs polishing, De Zerbi said: “Yes – like Levi Colwill, Evan Ferguson. Evan can and has to improve.

“We are playing one clear type of football and he has to improve to keep the ball, to play in ball possession, to be more continuous during the game.”

De Zerbi is already looking forward to pre-season and says he can get more from his squad.

He added: “I think we can improve in a lot of things.

“I think we have played not more than 70%. We have another 30% of improvement.”
