No trains will run to the Amex Stadium for Albion’s final friendly because of the Pride weekend.

Falmer and Moulsecoomb station will be closed for the match against Rayo Vallecano for most of Sunday, August 6, to avoid overcrowding.

Southern Rail is focusing its resources to ensure it can cater for thousands of people coming to and from Brighton for Pride.

The stadium capacity for the match has also been capped because of the Pride weekend.

Fans are being encouraged to find an alternative way to get to the game.

“Along with other partners in the city, we have been planning for Brighton and Hove Pride since the start of the year.

“We have strengthened our resources to manage the thousands of people that will be travelling to and from Brighton by train for the event, and we therefore do not have the additional resources available to manage crowds for a separate event.

“Safety of our customers and staff is of absolutely priority, which is why we have taken the decision to close Falmer and Moulsecoomb stations before and after the match on Sunday 6 August.

“We have a great relationship with Brighton and Hove Albion and always support home matches where we can and will continue to do so for the new season.”

Parking is available in two of Albion’s car parks B and C for £15 per car.

There are also spaces for park and ride sites at Brighton Racecourse and EDF Energy’s car park in Portland Road, Hove.

These cost £3 per person and must be booked in advance.

Seagulls Travel are also running a coach service where seats can be booked in advance.

Albion fans can buy up to six tickets for the match per fan number.

Tickets are available in the East Lower and West Lower.
