Joao Pedro has been urged to target a Brazil call-up.

The former Fluminense forward is set for his second Premier League appearance with Albion as they visit Wolves.

Brazil traditionally have an array of attacking options.

But Roberto De Zerbi would love to see his No.9 break into that group.

The Albion head coach said: “Joao Pedro is a great player. I want him to think in his head to [represent] the Brazilian national team.

“He is a great player, already a great player, but I would like him to improve his mentality.

“If he can score three goals in a game, he has to score three goals in a game.

“When he loses the ball, he has to work harder but he is not a complete player yet.

“But I would like him to progress and reach his potential, like [I do with] Evan Ferguson.”

Joao Pedro was last night confirmed in the latest Brazil under-23s squad for two friendlies.

The senior squad had seven forwards, of whom four play in the Premier League.

Richarlison of Tottenham, Matheus Cunha of Wolves, Gabriel Martinelli of Arsenal and Antony of Manchester United all got the call along with Neymar, who is now in Saudi Arabia, and Real Madrid duo Rodrygo and Vinicius Junior.
