This is what to expect from Wolves in their Premier League clash with Brighton at Molineux, writes Carlos Acosta Juckes.

Q - How did Wolves start their season?

A – A narrow loss to Manchester United in the first fixture of the game. However, Wolves gave the opposition a good battle as the winning goal could have fallen for either side.

Q – New manager?

A – Gary O’Neil is the one to replace Julen Lopetegui in the bench. Even though Bournemouth avoided relegation last season, O´Neil was not considered for the near future plans. He signed a three-year deal after Lopetegui was fired due to disputes with the board.

Q – New signings?

A – Matheus Cunha has joined Wolves from Atletico Madrid for a fee of 50 million euros. Boubocar Traore and Matt Doherty are the remaining signings along the other players such as Gonçalo Guedes or Fabio Silva who come back from loan.

Q – Departures?

A – The club have suffered one of their biggest losses in years as Ruben Neves left this summer to go to Saudi Arabia. It will take time to find the right replacement. Additionally, Conor Coady, Raul Jimenez and Adama Traore have left the club.

Head-to-head Brighton won both games last season including their biggest Premier League win as they beat them by 6-0 at the Amex. The Seagulls have won their last three encounters, scored 15 goals and conceded two.

Press conference Gary O’Neil spoke about Wolves’ upcoming game against Albion.

“They’re a difficult team to stop, especially as the home team, because they like to dominate the ball so much it can make you feel quite passive at times.

“A tricky team to prep for, but it’s my third go at it. Last year with Bournemouth we didn’t take any points but two real good performances, so hopefully this year, with this group of players, we can have a real good go and try to put our first lot of points on the board. It will be a big test, but really excited to play a Premier League game in front of 30,000 of our fans.”
