Albion fans revelled in a thrilling display from their side.

For many at Molineux, it will have been the first time they had seen the Seagulls score four in a top-flight away fixture.

Our panel of four long-time fans loved what they saw and struggled to choose a man of the match.

Opinion was more divided when we asked whether there was any concern over the number of chances Wolves had.

Room for improvement but so far, so very good.

1. What were your thoughts on Albion’s performance against Wolves?

Colin Beales: Delighted with the win, but the scoreline doesn’t tell the full story of the game where we struggled at times and Wolves had a number of opportunities that on another day could have cost us. Great to get the points but we’ve some work to do on the defensive side of our game.

James Heasman: I thought we played really well against Wolves, particularly when we were in possession. Our movement was sublime, and the fluidity in which our players changed positions was almost unplayable at times. When Lallana and Dahoud came on, the passing and ball retention went to an even higher level. Mitoma’s goal was simply brilliant, Maradona-esqe. Wonderful football.

Alan Brownings: Breath-taking. The ball is getting forward so much quicker now, we’re getting people into the box and taking our chances, nobody is going to fancy playing us.

Tim Ayling: For a 15-minute spell we were electric, but otherwise it was a pretty even game. RDZ was right in saying we played well up to 4-0, as the team stopped playing after that. To be honest, I’ll take that every week! The first half an hour of the game was completely breathless - astonishing game of football from both sides.

2. Who was your pick of the Albion players?

Colin Beales: I think Enciso and Gilmour were our best players on Saturday but that Mitoma run will live long in the memory.

James Heasman: Probably the hardest question. Steele faultless, Webster excellent, Enciso magnificent assists, Pervis brilliant, Mitoma a danger throughout and great finishing by Solly. However, I would say Billy Gilmour shaded man of the match for me.

Alan Brownings: Mitoma for an exceptional goal and assist, March for two goals. Everyone played well but, for me, it was Enciso, who improves with every game and seemed to be at the heart of everything we did well.

Tim Ayling: The headlines will go to Mitoma, Enciso and March, which they fully deserve. However, my man of the match was Billy Gilmour. I read that he successfully completed 69 of 70 passes, and he really ran the game. In a game where our attacking talent shone, Billy deserves the plaudits.

3. While the attacking play is fabulous, any concerns about how many chances Wolves had?

Colin Beales: The dominance we used to have in midfield understandably isn’t there after losing a couple of last season’s regulars. We’ve certainly got talent to build from and maybe a new signing will also strengthen things up for the campaign ahead.

James Heasman: Yes, though we do play very high, so are always likely to be undone by a longer pass over the defenders. As soon as Gross was booked he was ineffective from a tackling perspective. Naturally, we will miss Caicedo, and whilst Gilmour was excellent, I do feel we need additional support in this area.

Alan Brownings: We’re creating chances and scoring goals. As long as we continue to do that and concede less then so be it. Wolves always seem to create lots of chances so not overly concerned, there will be a Caicedo replacement before the end of the window.

Tim Ayling: Yes, and we did miss Caicedo. I really hope we do sign his replacement soon. You can only beat the team in front of you, but there will be bigger challenges than Luton and Wolves.
