Bob Booker is back at Albion, 22 months after he was axed as assistant manager to Mark McGhee.
The 50-year-old has been appointed as reserve team coach, working under Micky Adams, the manager who first brought him to the club eight years ago.
Booker's return follows the decision by former boss Dean Wilkins to turn down the role of senior first team coach and the earlier resignation of Ian Chapman from his combined role as first team coach and running the reserves.
Dean White remains as Adams' No. 2 in the revised backroom structure.
Adams said: "Bob knows the club inside out. He had a fantastic record at the club - three promotions in his role as assistant manager - and he is a fantastic coach, very personable."
Booker, who has scouted for his old club Sheffield United and worked with Pease Pottage and Seaford since leaving Albion in September 2006, said: "It feels like I am coming home."
