Adam Hinshelwood wants to add an FA Cup landmark to Worthing’s recent successes.

Rebels host Bath City in the fourth qualifying round looking to reach the first round proper for the first time since 1999.

Many fans will remember how they got through this stage on that occasion.

Held 1-1 at home to Conference side Dover, they went to Kent and grabbed a 1-0 replay win with an extra-time lob by Tony Holden.

That earnt them a trip to Rotherham, who were flying high in what is now League Two under the management of Ronnie Moore and who beat them 3-0.

Rebels have selection issues this time and were yesterday unsuccessful with an appeal against the red card shown to Joe Felix in last week’s draw with Truro.

He is now set for a three-match ban.

Luca Woodhouse was also sent off in that game, for a second yellow, and misses the cup tie.

Rebels boss Hinshelwood said: “There have been a lot of positives in the last few years.

“We are at our highest ever league status and we won the Senior Cup so to get back to the first round of the FA Cup would be another real highlight.

“We have got six injuries so it’s not ideal but the lads who have been waiting to show they should be playing now have their chance.”

Horsham have had some highlight moments in the FA Cup in recent years and their tie at home to Dorking Wanderers quickly sold out.

Fans are told not to travel if they do not have a ticket.

Lewes face a testing tie at Aldershot.
