Evan Ferguson has signed a new Albion contract.
His deal expires in June, 2029.
The striker was previously committed with the club until 2028 under terms he signed in April this year.
Via a club statement, head coach Roberto De Zerbi said: “Evan deserves this new contract and he has a very big future ahead of him.”
De Zerbi also highlighted Ferguson’s importance when he answered questions during his post-match press conference in Amsterdam last night.
After speaking about Ansu Fati and Joao Pedro, De Zerbi told reporters: “We have another big player - Evan Ferguson.
“He is spending not a very good moment but he is another top player for us and we can win a lot of games if these three players are going to play better and improve.”
In the club announcement this morning, Albion technical director David Weir described Ferguson as a brilliant young talent.
Weir added: “He has shown his ability at club and international level, after breaking into the team at the start of the year, and we are looking forward to working with him and watching his continued progress.”
