Albion fans are back home after a very special away trip.

They saw their side win 2-0 at Ajax as well an enjoying time in Amsterdam.

We asked our regular contributors – and long-time Seagulls supporters – for their thoughts on the latest Europa League date.

What were your thoughts on Albion’s performance against Ajax?

Tim Ayling: My thoughts don't really centre around the performance, however good it was. I can't get past the fact that we've just beaten such a giant of European football on their patch. What a night it was. Immense.

James Heasman: Ajax were a lot better than the first leg, but Roberto de Zerbi had his tactics spot on. Although the night was one of our greatest, in the cold light of day, our performance probably wasn't. Some good passing and movement at times, combined with some poor decision making. The fans were incredible.

Who stood out for you from the Albion team?

Tim Ayling: Ansu Fati is a joy to watch now he's up to speed and got his smile back. He tormented Ajax. Worth saying that the three Dutch players did well on their return... It must have been amazing for them.

James Heasman: I thought Ansu Fati was excellent, but for me Pascal Gross was literally phenomenal! Brilliant in midfield and exceptional at left back.

What will be your most vivid memories of the awayday in Amsterdam?

Tim Ayling: More than just the game, it was an amazing day. I was fortunate to have been allowed to take my 12 year old, and it was just a special occasion for us together.

James Heasman: So many, both on and off the pitch, the build-up with the Ajax fans and their flags, the singing on the way back to the train. The finish from Adingra, celebrations at the end. Singing in the bars. Really too many to mention.
