Kaoru Mitoma trained with the Albion squad this morning.

The Japan winger was pictured in a gallery of photos from Lancing posted on the club website.

The shots by club photographer Paul Hazlewood also featured Lewis Dunk in full flight in a running exercise.

Both key players withdrew from international action during the current window.

The photos appeared to be from the warm-up part of training and did not show any physical contact.

But the gallery – which also included snaps of James Milner and Tariq Lamptey - will lift spirits among fans concerned about the injury problems which have faced their team.

There was no sign of Pervis Estupinan while Danny Welbeck, Solly March and Julio Enciso remain longer-term absentees.

Head coach Roberto De Zerbi is expected to give an injury update tomorrow before the squad travel to the East Midlands to face Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

Joao Pedro and Facundo Buonanotte have been on long haul trips to Brazil and Japan respectively.

Buonanotte, who has played for Argentina under-23s, was pictured back at work with his club-mates.

Evan Ferguson, Simon Adingra, Bart Verbruggen, Billy Gilmour and Pascal Gross are all back from international duty.

Under-21s midfielder Luca Barrington is training with De Zerbi’s senior squad.
