Evan Ferguson has been tipped for an “amazing” future by a legendary Albion goal-getter.

The Irish teen scored a superbly taken equaliser in the win at Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

Bobby Zamora likes what he sees from Ferguson so far – and says there is more to come.

The former Albion, West Ham, Tottenham and QPR hitman told The Argus: “He is still young, still learning but he knows he is not the finished article.

“The club know he is not the finished article.

“He is having to work on what he needs to work on.

“It looks a really bright future for him.

“He is a very level-headed guy and hopefully he continues to impress and wanting to improve.

“He finishes with both feet – very sharp, knows where the goal is.

“I think the team and the manager help him with the way they play.”

Asked where Ferguson can really develop, Zamora said: “I think he needs to work on his hold-up play, his link-up play.

“I think he knows that as well and he is more than happy to work at it, which is amazing.

“The kid has an amazing future ahead of him.”

Ferguson could be competing for the No.9 berth with Joao Pedro at AEK tomorrow.

But Roberto De Zerbi could also play them together, as was the case for much of the Forest game.
