Albion expects to see Julio Enciso back in action in January.
But Danny Welbeck could be back before the end of 2023.
Both goalscorers from last season’s 2-1 win at Chelsea are on the injured list as their colleagues return to Stamford Bridge.
Enciso suffered a knee injury just two games into the season.
Albion boss Roberto De Zerbi said : “His recovery is going well but I don’t think we will see him play this year.
“I hope to watch him on the pitch from January.
“Welbeck can play before the end of the year and Welbeck is a very important player for us.
“We’re suffering playing without Danny Welbeck.
