Jakub Moder’s return from injury is a case of ‘so far, so good’ after two outings off the bench.
The Poland international made his comeback from a 19-month absence when thrown into a ten-verus-11 rearguard action at Nottingham Forest.
He was also trusted as insurance for the later stages as his side protected a slender led against Brentford.
Roberto De Zerbi is happy with the job he has done in both circumstances.
The Seagulls boss said: “He needs to put in time on the pitch.
“He played in a very difficult situation in Nottingham, in another difficult situation the last ten, 15 minutes against Brentford.
“It’s important for him to play game by game – 15 minutes, ten minutes, maybe he can sometimes play 30 minutes.
“We are waiting for the right moment to put him on the pitch.
“In the first moment, it is difficult to understand how much time he can play.
“First of all, we don’t take risks with him.
“If we lose one month with a muscular injury, it can be a big problem for him.
“He is another potential leader of Brighton in the future.
