Albion would be the ideal destination for Valentin Barco, according to an Argentinean who knows the club well.
Barco remains of interest to the Seagulls amid reports they have made a new offer for the versatile, left-sided 19-year-old.
A move would see him follow in the footsteps of Alexis Mac Allister, who developed into an Argentina mainstay and a World Cup winner with Albion.
Mac Allister’s dad Carlos, who also played for Boca, said he would recommend Brighton as a next step for Barco.
But he also warned the adaptation might not be easy.
Mac Allister senior told ole.com in Buenos /Aires: “He has a lot of quality.
“But be aware that, when you get there, you have to adapt to other situations.
“Maybe you have a lot of time on the bench.
“It happened to Alexis and you have to keep going as always, waiting to grow and for the chance to play.
“Don’t be long-faced or complain.
“He will have to work on the physical aspect or learn English if he doesn't already speak it.
“But I think it is a great opportunity for Brighton and for Barco.
“They are a very methodical club, they pay attention to all the details before bringing in a player.
“If they take him, it is because they know everything he can give them.”
