Roberto De Zerbi wants to see more killer instinct from 15-goal Joao Pedro.

The Albion forward will look to add to his tally of seven in the Premier League as his side face Wolves at the Amex this evening (7.45pm).

De Zerbi has set goal targets for widemen Kaoru Mitoma and Solly March in the past.

While no number is being revealed for Joao Pedro, he has been told to improve his ratio of chances converted.

De Zerbi said: “We have not fixed a number of goals for him, but he has to be focused to score. For example, at West Ham he made a mistake.

“He played well but we could win, but in two situations he had chances to score.

“Joao Pedro can’t have many chances to score - two or three per game is many chances.

“He has to be focused with the right mentality, with the right attitude, to be ready to score when we have the chance.”

De Zerbi is aware the record signing is playing himself into the sights of clubs ready to spend huge money.

He said: “Even if he is not a striker, he is more of an attacker than Mitoma and Solly.

“I think he is playing very well and I am really, really pleased with his performances. He is becoming a leader on the pitch.

“I am worried for the future because if Joao plays in the second part of the season like he did in the first part, I think the big, big teams can be bringing him, no?

“We are working on killer instinct. But he’s different from Evan Ferguson.

“Joao Pedro can play left winger, can play No.10.

“He’s complete in terms of characteristics but he can improve in his number of goals."
